TOURNAMENT UPDATE: The Smoky Mountain Throwdown III is a single round doubles tournament scheduled for Sunday, April 18, 2010 at 1 pm. Bring your own doubles partner and compete in the Advanced or Novice Divisions against players from western NC, eastern TN, and north GA. We will have a beer cart travelling the course (non-sanctioned) with a keg of local brew from French Broad, Pisgah, or Highland brewing. More information located here....

Welcome to the website for Fontana Village Disc Golf Course near Fontana Dam, NC . This beautiful layout was conceived and installed in the summer of 2007 by Pat Farrell, of DiscConcepts. The ability to rent a gas-powered golf cart allows players to focus all of their energy on throwing disc, and comes in handy given the moderate to significant elevation gain/loss on the course. This unique characteristic allows for as many rounds as your noodle-arm can handle.
Another unique characteristic of Fontana Disc Golf Course is the lodging adjacent to the course. Come for an overnight trip, and stay in the Lodge. Or, stay in a Garden room overlooking Hole 1. There are also a few cabins overlooking part of the course if this is more your speed. Just let our customer associate know what your interest is when making lodging inquiries.
